Hi, I’m Ella Nejat from Manhattan, New York. I am a sophomore attending Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School. I enjoy sports, reading, and being with friends. I joined SET at the beginning of the year and I love everything about the program. It is so interesting to learn about the everyday lifestyle of kids my age who live outside America. I think that the teens on both ends of the Zoom screen are curious about our differences and warmed by our similarities. One time, I met a girl who was practically a twin of mine. Sarí and I were instant friends when we both showed up on Zoom that day wearing similar rainbow SpongeBob shirts (a picture of this is featured on the website). Later we learned we both liked the same cartoon and type of music. I am so glad that SET has introduced me to so many new friends and I can’t wait to start the second semester.
