Chatting with Cassie in Haiti, usually a couple of times a week, has been fun for us both. While we lead very different lives, there is a definite concern for each other’s well being. She has become more than someone I chat with on a schedule day: we reach out just to check in on days we aren’t scheduled to speak. I am
hopeful over more time spent chatting her comfort level to speak will continue to grow as I feel confident she understands everything I say.
