My name is Lily, and I am currently pursuing an EdM in Applied Linguistics at Teachers College, Columbia University. Growing up in a multilingual family, I developed a deep appreciation for learning and teaching languages early in life. Over the past three years at TC, I’ve cultivated a strong research interest in sociolinguistics, particularly in discourse analysis. In addition to my academic pursuits, I’ve enjoyed volunteering at SET, where I’ve had the privilege of connecting with L2 learners and supporting them in developing their language skills. This experience has not only reinforced my passion for language education but also deepened my commitment to fostering meaningful communication across cultures.
