Penelope B.

My name is Penelope, and I’m a freshman at the High School for Math, Science, and Engineering in New York City. I am drawn to STEM for its emphasis on logic, problem solving, and structured thinking. I grew up in a multicultural, multilingual household with so many different languages spoken around me, leading to my curiosity for learning more about different countries and cultures. I joined SET in Fall 2025, which helped me connect with students my age in another country and broaden my perspective on the world.
